Table Mountain Star Party 2008
True First Light Late July 2008
Ellensburg WA
Scary transport, great thanks to Carl Freidman
First-Light (with decent skies)
40 mph windstorm /1 inch of rain night
1 Brilliant night and a massive fireball with report
1 Dewy Night and a repeat fireball (!)
1 Fair Night
Party favorite till 2am - there is a science to integrated object and crowd management - non stop hopping with a line of 15 people
41mm panoptic with parcorr about 120x
immage good to 200x, then stars turn to mush
2am-4am hard core starhopping
M13, M30 totally blew away the hard core
pretty excellent inagural flight
wait till I slap on a 10" F5 finder next year

From the landing of the first man on the moon and Major Matt Mason - Chris has lived with his head in the stars. It is no wonder that he found his way to actually touch the stars he has always reached for. From testing space suits under water, climbing mountains, to building planes - nothing is to vast or unsurmountable for this guy. His Parents would be (and are) proud and I should know - I'm his sister.
